Dear Members,

On behalf of the United States Deputy Wardens Association, I am pleased to invite you to attend the 77th annual conference in Salt Lake City, Utah being held July 28-August 2, 2024.

We are currently planning for a great conference, which will include touring our new Utah State Correctional Facility which opened in July 2022, along with learning and networking opportunities!

The United States Deputy Wardens Association (USDWA) is the only professional organization focused on the Nation’s Deputy, Associate, and Assistant Wardens. As one of the oldest Correctional Associations, great importance is placed on the exchange of ideas, best practices in corrections, and the camaraderie among members, both professionally and personally, so we can serve the public and our agencies in the most professional manner possible. It is our hope the 77th Annual USDWA Conference will be the catalyst for such growth.

In addition to promoting professional and personal growth, the USDWA places a high priority on family and strives to include family members in the conference experience. We do this by scheduling events for member’s spouses and children the entire week to create a conference the whole family will enjoy.

For those of you who have participated in past conferences, we hope you attend this year’s, and we encourage you to share your experiences with others who may be interested in becoming a USDWA member. For those who have not yet attended, we hope the value placed on professionalism and family will inspire you to join us at this year’s conference. We look forward to seeing all of you, your families, and corrections professionals from across the country during the week of July 28th in Utah. Along with the conference, come enjoy some fun activities in the stunning natural landscapes of Utah!
